Frequently asked
questions
Most firms measure success by how much money they manage for you. We measure it by how confident and clear you feel. We’re less interested in selling you products and more interested in being a thinking partner who helps you make good decisions about your money and the life it’s meant to support.
Then we’ll tell you the truth. Plenty of people can manage just fine on their own, and we’ll say so if that’s you. There’s no pressure here, just an honest conversation about whether having a partner would actually help. You decide from there.
Honestly, a lot of it is just listening. Most money anxiety comes from never stopping to ask what you really want, or what enough looks like for you. We make space for that conversation and once things feel clearer, the worry tends to quiet down, and over time, turns into confidence.
We’re built for the long haul. Our best work happens over years, as life changes and we adjust alongside you. If you only want a single one-time plan, we may not be the right fit. But the best way to know is just to talk. Reach out, and together we’ll see whether a relationship makes sense.
Then you stop. It’s that simple. There are no long-term contracts. You can change your mind, switch advisors, or go it alone at any time. We’d rather you stay because you want to, not because you’re stuck.
Usually two to four times a year, but we’re always on call. Some clients meet with us monthly when life has piled up and there’s a lot to work through. The rhythm bends to what you need.
It’ll be an informal chat with no agenda and no sales pitch. You learn about us, we learn about you, and together we figure out whether we’re a good fit.
Just yourself. And your spouse or partner, if they’d like to join. There’s nothing to prepare and nothing to bring. We’ll take it from there.
Financial planning, tax planning, retirement strategy, trust and estate planning, investment management, and risk management. They’re all connected, since one part of your financial life always affects the others. You can see how it all fits together on our Services page.
Two ways, depending on where you are with us. If you’re still deciding whether to work with us long-term, we offer a flat-fee, one-year planning agreement. For long-term clients, we charge a percentage of the assets we manage. Simple and transparent.
No. We choose clients based on fit, not account size.
Yes. It means we’re legally and ethically required to act in your best interest — always — not just when it’s convenient. Some advisors only have to recommend what’s “suitable.” We’re held to a higher standard, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Absolutely — and we love it. We act as the quarterback of your financial life, keeping your CPA, attorney, and other professionals working toward the same goals, and many clients say it’s one of the most valuable things we do.
Yes. We’re based in Decatur, Georgia, but we have clients across the country and even a few internationally.
